HERMAN BLAZE WALL SCONCE — MEDIUM
Editable design model, prepared 10 October 2026

IMPORT INTO SKETCHUP
1. Extract the whole ZIP, retaining the textures folder beside the DAE.
2. In SketchUp, choose File > Import and COLLADA (*.dae), then select Herman_Blaze_MEDIUM_18in.dae.
3. If your SketchUp importer exposes Merge Coplanar Faces, enable it. Smooth/Soften Edges can further refine display if required by your version.
4. Verify the diameter is 18 inches. The DAE declares meters; no manual scale factor should be required.

VERIFIED OVERALL SIZE
Width: 18 in / 457.2 mm
Height: 18 in / 457.2 mm
Projection from finished wall, INCLUDING backplate: 3.25 in / 82.55 mm
Backplate envelope: 8 in W x 1 in D x 8 in H / 203.2 x 25.4 x 203.2 mm
Origin: fixture center at the finished wall. Z is up, X is horizontal, positive Y projects into the room. All parts lie on or forward of Y=0.

EDITABLE PARTS
Outer dished gold reflector; convex central shield; warm visual ring; backplate; concealed central support. Each is a separate named mesh with material and surface normals. The .blend file is an additional editable source, not a SketchUp SKP file.

REFERENCE INTERPRETATION
Overall and backplate envelopes follow the user's product screenshot for MEDIUM. The supplied shop drawing's 5.25-inch depth and 450-mm outer diameter were intentionally NOT used as final overall dimensions. The drawing was used only to interpret form. The central shield is approximately 9.6 inches, using its 240:450 proportion scaled to the 18-inch outer diameter.

Curves, shell thickness, circular backplate form, concealed support, inner dimensions and gold-leaf texture are DESIGN APPROXIMATIONS, not manufacturer-approved geometry or construction information. The model is suitable for design coordination and visualization, not fabrication, installation or electrical detailing.

LIGHTING AND FINISH
The warm ring uses an emissive COLLADA material as a visual approximation. SketchUp may import it as a flat color; actual glow requires a compatible rendering tool and setup. The Blender preview uses studio lighting and does not certify real photometry. Gold finish is a procedural texture approximation, not a manufacturer's material sample.

VALIDATION
DAE parsed independently and imported into an independent mesh reader; scene bounds, object separation and triangle topology checked. A native SketchUp application import was not available for testing. See validation.json for measured results. Preview is rendered from the same model geometry.
